Threatend by tourism and shipping.

The Great barrier reef is the worlds largest reef and its threatend by flood water. 

Plumes of dirty, fresh water from the Burdekin, Fitzroy and Burnett rivers are flowing into the ocean off the coast of Queensland, carrying with it a toxic mix of nutrients, sediment and pesticides from agricultural run-off as well as unknown amounts of trace metals from flooded mines that could be lethal to the living organisms that make up the reef.

India new state protest enters 18th day

For the last 18 days, 800,000 government employees, mostly teachers, public transport workers and coal mine workers, have been on strike, demanding a new state of Telangana.
As a result, schools, colleges and government offices in the region are shut.
